Given the conduct parts of numerous medical issues, in any case, advancements alone can have constrained adequacy. Convincing individuals to change practices is a substantially more troublesome issue than advising them about dangers. Additionally, subsidizing for better wellbeing mindfulness should be reevaluated as an open spending need. The Frog and the Nightingale Essays
The Frog and the Nightingale Essays The Frog and the Nightingale Essay The Frog and the Nightingale Essay Sometime in the distant past there was a frog who croaked away in Bingle Bog. Consistently from sunset to day break, he croaked endlessly. Other little creatures around despised his voice however they were left with no decision. The uncouth dissonance; a boisterous and upsetting clamor blastd out from the sumac tree. At whose foot the frog sang till the break of day break. The stones, petitions, sticks, abuse, grievances and blocks couldn't quiet the frogââ¬â¢s assurance to show his heartââ¬â¢s extraordinary unparalleled delight. One night, in the evening glow cool and pale, a songbird roosted upon the sumac tree. She threw forward her tune and the frog sat dumbstruck in complete quietness. The entire lowland featured towards the sumac tree completely intrigued that they couldn't consider whatever else; and toward the finish of the tune they all applauded at her. The ducks had swum and the herons swam to her as she sang perfectly. Out of envy and malevolence and a single nut cas e sobbed underneath the light of the late spring moon. Frog, greenish blues; a little duck; and tiddlers were completely caught by the voice of the songbird and gived a shout out to her. They were completely loaded up with interest and delight. They all cheered, ââ¬ËBravoââ¬â¢, ââ¬ËToo Divineââ¬â¢ and ââ¬ËEncore! ââ¬â¢ The songbird that was not all that used to such adulation got up again and sang till day break. The following night when the songbird shook her head and jerked her tail, she shut one of her eyes, cushioned one of her wings and made a sound as if to speak to sing, she was surprised by a croak. She enquired from the frog who gladly conceded that he possessed the tree and had been for quite some time known for his baritone. The frog was not very sharp in adulating the songbird, and said that the melody was excessively long, however the strategy was fine and come up short on a certain force. The songbird was extraordinarily dazzled and complimented to expe rience a pundit of such note who can talk about her specialty and throat. In spite of the fact that the tune was not all that divine, in any event it had a place with the songbird. The merciless frog told the songbird that it was very little to brag about. Without legitimate preparing which he or a couple of others could flexibly, the songbird would stay a negligible tenderfoot. With an appropriate preparing she would be a champ. She said that the frog resembled Mozart, the incredible performer, in camouflage who had come to earth before her. The frog would charge her an unobtrusive expense for preparing her which was not all that much as to hurt her.Now the songbird was loaded up with motivation. She was satisfied and energized and got started up with both workmanship and reverence. She sang with an incredible energy. She turned into an enormous achievement and a VIP. Numerous creatures from numerous miles around came to hear the songbird sing. The frog with incredible exactness ch ecked the heads of creatures and charged a confirmation expense from every one of them. The following morning it was coming down and he started her vocal preparing. The songbird couldn't sing in this sort of climate yet the frog demanded that they could sing together. The frog requested that the songbird put on her head covering and the identification of honour. Both the frog and the songbird sang together for the full six hours. At that point the songbird began shuddering, her voice got dry and she began trembling. She was to be sure denied of rest however in the night her throat resuscitated. The respected group who came to hear the songbird sing incorporated the Owl of Sandwich, the Duck of Kent, Mallard and Milady Trent, Martin Cardinal Memphisto and the Coot of Cristo. The frog saw them sparkle with both sweet and unpleasant delight. The frog had sold her tunes for silver, yet he despite everything reproved her with the goal that she may rehearse much longer till her voice becam e more grounded like his.The frog revealed to her that in the second melody during the earlier night, she got apprehensive in the center. He asked her that she should attempt to make the open more joyful by giving those better sharps and Trillings and ought to likewise target expanding the cash since she despite everything owed him sixty shillings. Step by step, the songbird developed increasingly sad and pale. After a long time after night her worn out melody turned out to be snappy and insecure and had hops in the middle of the winged animals and the mammoth became tired in hearing such a dull sound. The pay from the ticket window fell significantly. The songbird got dependent on free adulations. Singing into the night gave her no more delight. The frog was irate with the songbird. She was excessively brainless on the stage and should utilize her brains and style to take care of her lungs with enthusiasm. The songbird trembled and was alarmed to come up short. She was blinded with tears and when she puffed up to sing she burst a vein and passed on. The frog said that he attempted to encourage her yet she was excessively idiotic, excessively apprehensive and excessively strained. The poor fowl ought to have comprehended that oneââ¬â¢s own tune is oneââ¬â¢s own tune. That is the reason the frog could sing with trust in his own exquisite style. The upsetting voice of the frog continued endlessly with no opponent in the lowland.
General Knowledge in Criminal Justice
Each nation is represented by a lot of laws intended to keep up request inside it. There are laws that administer the political relations with its residents while there are additionally laws that direct the social equality of its residents. There are a lot of decides that characterize what acts or exclusions are viewed as crimes or offenses and recommends discipline for infringement of these principles. The last is known as the criminal equity arrangement of a nation. This criminal equity framework is showed by the authorization of correctional laws of the state. Corrective laws characterize what acts are viewed as wrongdoing and decide the best possible punishment for its bonus. As a result of the institution of corrective laws, each state can uphold and keep up peace inside its ward. Society is a mind boggling structure which doesn't just capacity agreeably coincidentally. There must be a cognizant exertion with respect to the state to manage the conduct of its individuals. It is a direct result of this explanation that the arrangement of discipline was organized and legitimized in our general public. Discipline is the activity taken by the State for each infringement of its laws. Discipline can be considered as a reaction by the general public to any offense or crime carried out against it. It might go from the hardship of freedom of the sentenced individual or the installment of fine for the reparation of injury caused. The hardship of freedom can last from a few days or it might reach out to quite a long while relying upon the idea of the wrongdoing submitted. On the off chance that the wrongdoing anyway is deplorable the death penalty might be forced. Traditional Theory There are numerous hypotheses on which our criminal equity framework is based. One of the establishments for burden of the criminal equity framework is the Classical Theory. It endeavors to give a clarification on the main driver of wrongdoing to control it or keeping it from occurring. It contends that man is commonly an ethical animal with a through and through freedom. This unrestrained choice enables him to pick among good and bad. At the point when man plays out a demonstration, the supposition that will be that the equivalent is a balanced and cognizant choice emerging from a cautious estimation of its potential outcomes. It is to be assumed that the practitioner of the demonstration has deliberately gauged the results of his activity with the goal that he will accomplish his ultimate objective which is to augment delight and to limit torment. In this way, when an individual takes part in freak conduct and carries out a wrongdoing it is to be assumed that he deliberately and adamantly dedicated it after a cautious count of both the advantages and dangers of its bonus. Wrongdoing is in this manner a result of balanced and cognizant decision intentionally performed by an individual and not the aftereffect of the outside powers encompassing him. There are the individuals who hold that wrongdoing is a social and normal marvel as contradistinguished from the Classical Theory. As per the Positivist Theory, man now and again is quelled by a bizarre and dismal marvel which obliges and induces him to foul up. Despite the fact that man is essentially acceptable, there are powers around him that causes him to submit an unjust demonstration. Therefore, in spite of the Classical School, wrongdoing isn't a result of a reasonable and cognizant choice that outcomes from cautiously gauging the favorable circumstances and drawbacks of the demonstration rather it results from interaction of social and outside powers that intensely impact the person. It is a result of this explanation that the criminal equity framework ought not be a minor capacity of severe and rigid use of the theoretical standards of law. Or maybe, it is the assignment of the appointed authority to mull over such different realities and conditions that go to the commission of the wrongdoing. Retributivism Theory There are the individuals who hold fast to the Retributivism Theory. As indicated by this hypothesis, discipline is permitted, regardless of whether it is detainment or passing, on the grounds that the indicted detainee merits it. This is also called the convention of ââ¬Ëjust desertââ¬â¢ which is established on the ââ¬Ëeye for an eye, tooth for a toothâ⬠theory. At the point when a physical issue is done to another, an uncalled for circumstance is made between the guilty party and the person in question. The inconvenience of discipline against the miscreant evacuates the uncalled for advantage and reestablishes the parity. (Anthony Duff, Sec 5) fundamentally, this hypothesis expresses that specific activities in the general public that are harmful to others will justify the burden of detainment. At the point when these demonstrations are done adamantly and intentionally by any individual then it is nevertheless appropriate that he be rebuffed for his demonstrations to reestablish the ethical equalization and address the ethical culpability which are fundamental in reestablishing agreement in the general public. (Deligitimizing Retributionâ⬠2) UtilitarianTheory On the other hand, there are the individuals who put stock in the Utilitarian Theory. It contends that state-endorsed discipline is advocated in light of its utility. In view of the standard of utility, acts are sought after relying upon the attractive quality of its results. On the off chance that discipline will undoubtedly create the best equalization of joy over misery then the discipline is defended. However, on the off chance that there are different alternatives that would deliver a more noteworthy parity of joy over misery, at that point that choice ought to be picked and discipline is unjustified. Kevin Murtagh, Sec 1a) In less difficult terms, the thought is on the off chance that we are to gauge the beneficial outcomes of discipline as against its negative impacts and the constructive outcomes exceeds the negative ones then that discipline must be forced. This hypothesis to some degree looks forward and thinks about the outcomes of discipline to the gener al public. Not at all like the Retributivist hypothesis which centers around the advantages to the person in question, in Utilitarian Theory different individuals from the general public is considered to profit by the detainment of the sentenced detainee. Discouragement Theory. For instance, the death penalty is viewed as useful for the general public since it stops the commission of more wrongdoings by different people. Under the Deterrence Theory, the burden of the criminal equity framework sends a solid message that it pummels wrongdoing. When an indicted detainee is detained or condemned to death it seems as though we are stating to the remainder of the general public that this will happen to the individuals who will abuse our laws. It is additionally an open announcement that there is a war against wrongdoing and that any infringement of its laws will be truly managed by the state. When society sees that the infringement of a law will have genuine results to the miscreants then this will have a constructive outcome to the general public by preventing culpability. Debilitation Theory According to Incapacitation Theory, society is likewise profited by the detainment of the sentenced detainee since it weakens him from further carrying out wrongdoings and diminishes recidivism rate. (Lynch and Sabol) Experience shows that the individuals who have recently carried out wrongdoings are bound to carry out another wrongdoing. There is not any more successful method for weakening the guilty party with the exception of by expelling them from the general public. Subsequently, on account of burden of capital punishment, an individual who is condemned to death can no longer carry out further wrongdoings since he is for all time debilitated to play out the equivalent. The general public is likewise profited when miscreants are imprisoned or condemned to death. We additionally forestall the chance of these individuals getting away from jail and carrying out further violations. (Considerations on the Death Penalty p 2) The reason for this is the assurance of different individuals from the general public. Remedial Justice Theory The Restorative Justice hypothesis is another part of the Utilitarian Theory which gives accentuation on the rebuilding of the criminal guilty party as one of the motivations behind criminal equity framework. It tries to advance the goal of reestablishing the guilty party to the standard society by causing him to perform network administration, requiring repayment and other advantageous exercises while in jail. This depends on the hypothesis that a criminal guilty party is a socially wiped out person. Different individuals from the general public have the ethical commitment to give help and help to them.

Birth Control Controls the Human Population - Free Essay Example
The United States population is growing and since there is not way to stop or temporarily stop the population growth, there are ways to prevent the unplanned pregnancies of the teenage world. Those preventions would be birth control. Birth Control is the act of preventing pregnancy. Getting pregnant at a young age is not what most people people want. About 46% of females and 22% of boys get involved in a pregnancy before the age of 15 and about 25% of females and 9% of boys get involved in a pregnancy after the age of 15. Since these females are getting pregnant, 30% of them are dropping out of school to take care of their child. So most of these women arent getting great education of because of pregnancy or parenthood. However, due to women dropping out of school to take care of their child, only 38% of teen mothers who have a child before they turn 18 have a high school diploma, and less than 2% earn a college degree by age 30. So although they are getting an education, only some actually go through with the education system. Almost 75% of teenage pregnancies are unplanned; however, it isnt always the result of someone being irresponsible. Even if the two people that took action in this event took precautions, there are always a chance of a risk of that method of fertility control to not work or be used correctly. Birth control (Fertility control) is the act of preventing pregnancy. It includes different methods of preventing pregnancies such as medications, procedures, devices, and behaviors. There are 4 different types of birth control. There are Hormonal methods, Barrier methods, Intrauterine Device methods, and Natural methods. Most of these methods are made for female use, although there are some for males, such as the condom. The first method is Hormonal methods. The Hormonal method works by mimicking the natural hormones (estrogen and progestin, or just progestin) in the female body. These hormones are used to prevent pregnancy from happening. These hormones prevent pregnancy by not allowing ovulation to occur, making the lining of the uterus thin, and creating thicker cervical mucus. These hormones do not allow ovulation to occur prevents pregnancy because without an egg, sperm can not fertilize. Making the lining of the uterus thin, it would be difficult for implantation to happen. Cr eating a thicker cervical mucus makes it difficult for the sperm to enter the uterus. Hormonal methods include combined hormones, progestin only, and continuous extended use of combined hormonal contraceptives. Combined hormones use two hormones (estrogen and progestin) to prevent pregnancy from occurring Combined hormones come in three different ways; a pill, a patch, and a nuvaring. Each way contains a small dose of progestin and estrogen. The progestin-only method only contains the progestin hormone. This method comes in an injection and as a pill. Depo-provera is a long lasting version of birth control using ion the progestin hormone. It is given by injection every 12 weeks. The Depo-Provera works by stopping ovulation, making the mucous of the cervix thick (which make it harder for the sperm to get through into the uterus), and by thinning the lining of the uterus (which makes it difficult for a fertilized egg to implant). The progestin-only pill differs from combined oral contr aceptives because it only contains one hormone, progesterone. The progestin-only pill works by thickening the cervical mucus, decrease ovulation or fertilization, and change the lining of the fallopian tubes and uterus. The Hormone method is effective about 96% effective. The Barrier method works to prevent the sperm from reaching the egg. There are about 5 different versions of the Barrier method of birth control. The methods are either physical or chemical. The 5 different versions come in condoms, spermicides, diaphragm, cervical cap, and sterilization. Condoms can be external or internal. The external condom are for men to use. The condom catches and holds ejactulated semen so that sperm cannot enter the uterus and cause a pregnancy. The external condom is 92% effective. The internal condom are for females. The internal condom works by preventing the sperm from meeting the egg and acts like a barrier for protecting against sexually transmitted infections. The internal condom is effective about 87%. Spermicides contain a sperm killing chemical and work to create a chemical block at the entrance to the uterus. Spermicides come in a gel, foam, VCF, and Sponge form. All of these forms contain the sperm-killing chemical. Spermicide alone is about 78% effective, but when used with a condom or other barrier methods it can be as effective as 95% or greater. The diaphragm acts as a barrier between the opening of the cervix and semen which contains sperm. The diaphragm may not fit tight, so it is paired with spermicide to kill the sperm. The diaphragm is about 89% effective, but only when used with spermicide. The cervical cap is used to cover the cervix. It creates a barrier between the sperm and egg and it is held in place by suction so sperm cannot enter the uterus. The cervical cap is also used with spermicide. For women that have not had children the effectiveness is about 88%, for women who have had previous children the effectiveness is about 71%. Sterilization can be done for both men and women. Sterilization for men is called a vasectomy and for women it is called a tubal ligation. For men the tubes leading from the scrotum that join with the urethra are cut. For women, the tubes leading from the ovaries to the uterus are cu t. Sterilization, for both men and women, is 99% effective. All barrier methods work to prevent the sperm from getting to the egg, the effectiveness of barrier methods altogether is 87%. The intrauterine device (IUD) is a small t-shaped device that is put into a persons uterus. Progesterone IUDs have a small amount of progestin. It of over 99% effective. Copper IUDs contain no hormones. It if over 99% effective. Other than the Hormonal, Barrier, and IUD methods, there are natural methods. These methods do not use hormones or any physical or chemical objects to prevent pregnancy. The 4 natural methods are abstinence, fertility awareness, lactational amenorrhea, and withdrawal. Abstinence means to have no sexual contact of any kind. In the terms of birth control, it means not allowing sperm near the womans body below the waist. Abstinence is 100% effective in preventing pregnancy and STIs. Fertility awareness is a way to predict fertile and infertile times in a womans cycle. It is based on body signs, which change in each menstrual cycle in response to the hormones that cause ovulation. Fertility awareness is about 85-90% effective if used correctly. Lactational amenorrhea is a method that relies on breastfeeding. The hormones that produce breast milk will also work to stop ovaries from releasing an egg for the first six months after the baby is born. Lactational amenorrhea is between 98-99% e ffective. Withdrawal is when the man removes his penis from the vagina before he ejactualates. Withdrawal is 73%-96% effective if used properly. The natural method is about 93% effective. All of these methods are ways to prevent pregnancy. Most of these birth control methods are specifically for females, but technology is improving and scientists are creating methods of birth control or males. The methods include a daily gel that stops sperm production is the furthest along in development, a male birth control pill, and a non surgical vasectomy (VOS.com). These three types of birth control for men are not going to be in pharmacies anytime soon, but the trials and making for these products are in production. Although, these products are in the making some men are happy to use a male contraceptive, and others are to afraid to go through with the symptoms if these methods. Although the teenage birth rate has increased over the years, it is still a current thing. If teens were more informed about the consequences of teenage pregnancy and about birth control, then maybe they would be more reluctant to use it and to make sure that it is being used correctly. There are many types of birth control out there, but some are better than others and those ones that are better should be taught better than the others to the teens. Once again, it is not always the fault of the two people that are having intercourse, it can be an accidental situation where they need to understand that being safe and more informed about birth control can better their lives. Scoping Out University
Itââ¬â¢s 6am on a Saturday and yet you find yourself stumbling out of bed, pulling on your best ââ¬ËIââ¬â¢m not trying too hardââ¬â¢ outfit whilst half-heartedly shouting at your parents to wake up. Thatââ¬â¢s right, university open days are here. Whether youââ¬â¢re hoping to leave for your course next year or at a later date; open days are an almost unavoidable task set to give you a feel for a real hardworking environment. Say goodbye to sleep and hello to your futureâ⬠¦Exciting right? On a serious note, university open days are a great way to get a feel for the place youââ¬â¢re hoping to spend three (or more) years studying at. Theyââ¬â¢re free, theyââ¬â¢re informative, and letââ¬â¢s face it; thereââ¬â¢s no point applying for a university where all you know is that it does your course and is a location you consider somewhat desirable. Thereââ¬â¢s a lot besides the academic prospects to consider when going away to university: accommodatio n, finance, nightlife and social clubs are all on a long list of things to look into, so what better place than the university itself? Besides talks on your subject area, attending accommodation and campus talks can really open your eyes as to whether or not somewhere is right for you...You want to be able to call this place 'home' afterall. Additionally, many universities will offer designated presentations on various aspects of student life which can help to relieve you of the many questions youââ¬â¢re sure to have about living away or studying away from home for the first time. Donââ¬â¢t leave it until itââ¬â¢s too late, take control of your future, you wonââ¬â¢t miss those extra few hours in bed when youââ¬â¢re happy and comfortable with a university you know inside and out. You may even enjoy yourself!

Infant Trauma - 1407 Words
There are many types of trauma that people experience everyday in our world. People can do awful things to each other, including violence, abuse, and neglect. Accidents happen that leave us feeling distressed. Some threaten our sense of safety and connection. These are all experiences that take time to heal and recover from. We must find a way to reconcile the life we had before it happened and the life as we know it after a tragic event. The pain of the memories alone can be devastating. It takes time and support to find a sense of self again, to feel safe in the world again. But what if the trauma happened before life ever really began? Is there any lasting effect on a person that was merely an infant when the trauma was experienced?â⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦The other form of memory is declarative memory (also known as ââ¬Å"explicitâ⬠or ââ¬Å"lateâ⬠memory). It stores sequential and contextual events, as well as factual knowledge that can be articulated (Paley A lpert, 2003). Procedural memories are also described and indelible and are, therefore, engraved in your brain and body for life. Other types of memories that are described in more detail and are classified as non-verbal are categorized as behavioral memory, somatic-somatosensory memory, and visual memory. Behavioral memories can be seen in play therapy where the child will actually be able to act out their experiences with dolls. Somatic-somatosensory memory presentation is particularly relevant to traumatized newborns or very young infants, who may perceive trauma predominantly as concrete sensory perceptions (Paley Alpert, 2003). All of this research tells me that we need to broaden out ways of thinking of memory. It is not simply a process in which, if you can tell me what happened, then you remember it, if you canââ¬â¢t, then you simply have no memory of the event. As we have discussed in class and in Discussion Board, your body remembers. It makes sense that we can extend t his concept to ââ¬Å"pre-memoryâ⬠infancy or childhood. To consider the impact these traumatic events can have on a personââ¬â¢s life, we must investigate how they can change development. 1. Presentations from two classmates The two presentations I chose were Williamââ¬â¢s Parkinsonââ¬â¢s Disease and Miguelââ¬â¢s Hypoxic-Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE). The reason I chose the Parkinsonââ¬â¢s one was that I presented on Huntingtonââ¬â¢s disease (HD) and people often compare the two. I was saddened to learn that the cause of Parkinsonââ¬â¢s has yet to be discovered since they have discovered the faulty gene associated with HD. Both diseases are still in need of a cure, but I feel that HD is just one step closer at the moment. It also interested me that men are more likely to get Parkinsonââ¬â¢s, while men and women have an equal chance of getting HD. Another difference is that a majority of Parkinsonââ¬â¢s cases are not inherited, while HD is clearly hereditary. Something else I found intriguing was that HD has a stated life expectancy of 10 to 20 years after onset of symptoms. People with Parkinsonââ¬â¢s do not have a set life expectancy and may live as long as somebody without th e disease. However, I do understand that advanced Parkinsonââ¬â¢s symptoms could lead to life-threatening complications which could result in death. The reason I chose the HIE presentation is that it was one of the few presentations I had never heard of before. I had no idea that HIE is one of the leading cause of death among infants. It is scary to think that this could happen to your baby even prior to birth. It is yet another thing to be concerned about during pregnancy and the birth process. There is such a difference

With the obstacle of mental illness in my way, I found the task of graduating high school and moving on to college to be a mammoth that I felt not healthy enough to conquer. Symbolism in Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by...
Symbolism in Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening by Robert Frost Many people consider Robert Frost to be one of Americas greatest poets, and one of his best known poems is Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening. In the poem, Frost describes a person stopping just outside of town in a wooded area with his horse. He stops for a moment to appreciate the wonder of the world that he has spent so much time in, something that he may not have done much in his younger years. The horse could be a symbol of the pressures of the rest of the civilized world. The horse nudges the speaker on as if to ask if there is some mistake, just as society might nudge someone into movement and not understand the necessity of stopping to smellâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Frost, in line 7, may be using the symbolism of the horse nudging the speaker as if to ask if there is some mistake to show the pressures that are placed on us through our daily lives: society, family, and fiscal solvency. In other words, we must resist the temptation to slow down so that we can be val uable members of society, provide for our family and have the material wealth to show others of our prowess. Frost seems to be advising that, although one must normally succumb to these pressures, one must make time to revel in the joy of life, lest the chance be taken away. Frost is showing in a very poignant way that life is too short not to celebrate in the awesome beauty of the world around us. The last three lines of this poem are symbolic of the realization that, between being born and dying, there are many things to do. Frost may be showing that, like so many of us, he realizes that the completion of responsibilities is the only way to enjoy the pleasures of life. The fact that Frost repeats the last line and miles to go before I rest gives a sense of weariness to the reader. It shows the terrible price that we all pay, the price of our lives committed to the service of someone else. The Myth of Sisyphus free essay sample
The Myth of Sisyphus In the essay of ââ¬Å"The Myth of Sisyphusâ⬠Albert Camus suggests that there is a possibility that there is no real meaning to life and that as humans, it is a pointless gesture to go looking for this religious or universal meaning. Camus uses Sisyphus as his prime example of this. Sisyphus, a punished human for ââ¬Å"certain levity in regard to the godsâ⬠has to do a pointless task of pushing a rock up a hill repeatedly. This punishment itself reflects the ideas of the absurd. Camus believes that death is at the end of every personââ¬â¢s life but people still go on looking for this purpose but it is pointless because the people all end up the same, dead, but the pursuit of the purpose can possibly hold meaning. Sisyphus along his endless task finds sadness and joy. According to Camus thereââ¬â¢s no sun without shadow which is that there is no joy without pain. We will write a custom essay sample on The Myth of Sisyphus or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page Camus proposes that Sisyphus is happy when he acknowledges his consequences, the pain of what his life has come down to and accepts his fate. Individuals often try to comprehend and answer the question ââ¬Å"What is our purpose in life? â⬠and fail to speak out because they are constantly puzzled about what their purpose is in life, and so is Sisyphus. Sisyphus is constantly trying to find hope or meaning in his task, but he cannot find a meaning for his existence. The fate of Sisyphusââ¬â¢ is settled for eternity and until Sisyphus pushes the rock forward and up the hill, his purpose for that is just to roll the rock. Sisyphus small amount of hope keeps him content that he is able to have a solid purpose that he can see and feel the rock even though in the end of the task it is meaningless as the rock will drop back down the hill. I disagree with Camusââ¬â¢ view that there is no real meaning to life because, as a young Christian at an Evangelistic Church, to know God and enjoy him forever is the meaning of life. The reason this is the meaning of life is because God created us that way. God created a beautiful world and put humanity in it to live and prosper, but overall to have a relationship ith him. This was the purpose of our creation. We are most happy, fulfilled and complete when we are worshiping and being in a relationship with our Lord. By ignoring God and not having that relationship with him is a sin. Having that sin in your live is what makes your live less than what they could be. People live outside in the cold when God wants them to come into his house and live with him. It is the n when we turn back to God and stop ignoring him what he will find true happiness and fulfillment. Our role in this world is to seek out and encourage one another in love and walking in faith. This modern world is so focused on individualism that being part of and serving in a community loses its path leading people to feel alone. Our lives today are to live in a way that we serve God and the people he has put in our community. Camus believed that life was pointless because no matter what accomplishments you achieved you would die and that will be the end of them, but itââ¬â¢s not like that. God holds us responsible for our failure. Jesus teaches about a time in the future when we will all have to come before God in judgment and face the consequences for the way we have lived. If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, youââ¬â¢ll be saved and that will be your purpose for living. Camusââ¬â¢ introduced the option that life is meaningless by interpreting the idea of absurdity and how giving meaning to life in ways such as religiously, is inevitably pointless because in the end death is terminal. Camusââ¬â¢ suggests that happiness arises from absurdity when one learns and accepts death. Sisyphus is a happy man because he was able to come to terms with his punishment although it had to be eternal. Unlike, Camusââ¬â¢ idea being able to believe that the more you grow in your understanding of what God has done in your live, the more you will want others to know about it, and how God can change their lives for the better. As you relate to God, and live according to his direction, others will notice a difference in you. God has given us the great opportunity of sharing his love with others.

Jonathan, Woman And Advisor A man named Jonathan is in distress because he has found himself in love with a woman. Jonathan is studying to become a priest and has taken the vow of chastity. He is lost and goes to his spiritual advisor for advice that will help him see the answers he needs to help him with his dilemma.Jonathan: I understand, but I just love her so much. It's the kind of love that has another force present. I watched the sunrise with her yesterday, and when we kissed something inside of me exploded, and it wasn't lust. It was love. A higher love which I have never felt before.Advisor: Aren't you studying to be a man of the cloth? Haven't you taken vows?Jonathan: Yes.Advisor: Well, do you think you will ever be able to find this love in God?Jonathan: That I am unsure of.Advisor: People are often unsure of what they will find with God. I have a book here. I would like to read something from it. The book is Light From Light. I will be reading from The Perfection Of Man, number 254. It states ?Theref ore the man who desires to love the Lord or already loves him should always question his spirit and examine his conscience as the object and the motive of his basic desire; ask, too, what else the spirit wills or hates and what inordinate desires the flesh entertains the opposition to it.? I agree that you can find this love you are talking of in others that surround us, but you have made a commitment to the church and their laws. I want you to go off to a quiet place and separate yourself from this woman, and think about these words I have just read to you. Then come back to me in a two months. When the advisor asks him this question, Jonathan's mind starts thinking. He was asked why he loves this girl. Is it because of lust? He needs to think about this for some time because love can often be diguised by lust. He needs to ask himself if he loves this girl the way he loves God. If he thinks about this and finds that the love he feels for God and this girl are actually the same, the n he has, in fact, found God in this girl. (Two months passed and Jonathan came back to the advisor.)Jonathan: I have come to the conclusion that the love I have found between this woman and I was given to me by God.Advisor: Do you feel that by being a man of the cloth that you are limited in your ability to love. There is an old saying from The Desert Father's number 112, ?An old man said, ?This generation is concerned not with today but with tomorrow.' The advisor is trying to see if Jonathan's heart is where it should be, or if he needs to search more for who he wants to be.Johnathan: I wonder what would happen if in the future I said I didn't want to be a priest because I was in love with a woman. I feel as though I might be missing out on some things. Advisor: I feel as though your heart is not yet where it wants to be. It seems to me that your heart is meant to wonder the world and see all the people and spread your love to them.Jonathan: Are you telling me I should leave the church? Advisor: I'm telling you that you should follow your heart, son.Jonathan: Thank you. I will follow it where ever it leads me. It is sometimes more important to just follow your heart before you start to think of God. It is not understood by everyone that your heart was given to you by God. Once this is understood by Jonathan, he will find himself even closer to God. It is right for Jonathan to leave the church. That's where his heart was leading him. Who knows, leaving the church could actually bring him to another level with God. Aelred would say that you can see God in the eyes of others. Mythology

International Business in the Globalization Environment Dissertation
International Business in the Globalization Environment - Dissertation Example Managers tend to see the international market as societies in microcosm with their own specific cultures and ways of transmitting these cultures to their members. Samiee et al (2005) and Verlegh (2007) examine the impact on a home country and unique brand image of the product on perception and buying patterns in targeted markets. They find that national stereotypes and buyer attitudes toward countries of origin influence the buying process and profitability of the company. Another layer of literature is based on theoretical materials and concepts aimed to discuss and evaluate business strategies and international marketing trends around the world. ... They examine the impact of culture on the formulation and the application of an international marketing strategy. The home country and the host country environment constitute an open interaction system. The strategies of the firm play the primary role in the interaction; secondary roles are played by a number of other players. Special attention should be given to such countries as Malaysia, Thailand and Philippine affected by strong national culture and traditions. The results of the interaction may be more or less successful from the point of view of the firm, the host country, or other institutions or organizations involved (Balabanis et al 157). The host country environment presents another set of macro factors. On the macro environmental level, cultural forces need to be evaluated. On the microenvironmental level, the factors become more specific; they include (1) buyer-seller relationships, (2) nature of supply and demand, (3) market price mechanism, (4) nature of competition, (5) barriers to market entry, and (6) nature of the distribution. At the operational level, factors such as (1) sof t versus hard currency, (2) exchange rate fluctuations, (3) inflation, (4) tariffs and quotas, and (5) invisible barriers become extremely important (Doole and Lowe 82). Research suggests that "cultural distance" also presents a major challenge to an entrepreneur assessing the potential of the host market.

Reliance Industries Limited and CSR activities Essay EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: Flagrantly, nowadays CSR approach has been immensely exploited by the organizations and non-governmental organizations in a negative manner since the global markets are becoming competitive. The term corporate social responsibility has become a trend of symbols to explicit the companyââ¬â¢s corporation as being socially responsible, however intrinsic intention has been self-regulation and private interest of the company. Hence, the reliance industry limited has taken the corporate social responsibility as their mainstream of profit maximization in terms of being socially responsible to educational, environmental, health care, and agricultural perspectives. Introduction The aim of this report is to apply sufficient knowledgeââ¬â¢s for the importance of (CSR) and its contribution to strategic corporations, critically review the (CSR) functions of businesses as well as delivering efficientà information regarding the (CSR) activities of Reliance Industries Ltd. To demonstrate the above objectives it is essential to explain what is meant by CSR? What are the objectives of CSR? And furthermore brief description of Reliance Industries Ltd profile. In recent years, there has been greater attention to the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility. The term is described as the businesses responsibility towards their stakeholdersââ¬â¢ legal, ethical, social and environmental expectations. Different scholars have defined (CSR) in various ways. First effort for defining (CSR) was made by Bowie (1953) who was observed as the father of academic debate for Corporate Social Responsibility (Carroll 1979, p.479). Bowie stated, that it is the businesses oblig ation to manage business process for the betterment of a society and enhancement of its value. Moreover, World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) illustrated CSR as the commitment of business while behaving ethically and cooperating to the economic development by strengthening the quality life of workforce, families and local communities. Furthermore, Davis and Blomstorm elaborate the term CSR as an activity in order to improve the quality life of a society as well as developing the status of the organization by expanding its interest. However, Carroll defined (CSR) ââ¬Å"Social responsibility of business encompasses the economic, legal, ethical and discretionary expectations that society has of organizations at a given point in timeâ⬠(Carroll, 1979, p.500). Relatively, Carroll illustrated the pyramid of CSR by differentiating the four concept of social responsibility: economic, legal, ethical and philanthropic obligations. To sum up CSR can be defined, managing the business processes with being responsiveness to the economic, legal, ethical and environmental expectations of stakeholders so that to produce a positive impact to the society. Consequently, as far as the report do concerns to the CSR activities of Reliance Industries Ltd, it is important to take a look after the mentioned companyââ¬â¢s profile. The largest private sector of India, The Reliance Group founded by Dhirubhai H. Ambani (1932-2002) with operating in energy and material businesses value chain. The flagship company, Reliance Industries Ltd, owes an excess of Group annual revenues of US $ 66 billion and is apart of Fortune Global 500 Company. Starting with textiles in late seventies, Reliance expanded their business by pursuing the backward vertical integration strategy whileà producing fiber intermediates, plastics, polyester, petrochemical as well as petroleum refining and oil and gas exploration and production. Reliance company proud itself for being the largest polyester yarn and fiber producer among the top five producers in the world. IMPORTANCE OF CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBLITIES: Conduction of Corporate Social Responsibility strategy has became vital trend for the companies in a current highly competitive global market. Inherently, the CSR strategy has remained the pillar of the sustainability of a business as far as the consumers and markets taste and preference changes are concerned. Moreover, the CSR-Asia has described CSR as the business operations incorporation in environmental and social perspectives with the interaction of their stakeholders. Hence, CSR approach owe following features: Firstly, it observes for the increasing of the shareholders profit in order to preserve the long-term viability of the business. Secondly, environmental and social improvisation has been the core objective of the CSR approach. Thirdly, the CSR concept is not a crowding out effect for the business, but it is about the way that business is operated. In this sequence, CSR concept is concerned with the long-term sustainability of the business while maximizing the shareholders interest and plays an active role in the development of community (http://www.scribd.com/doc/3934672/Importance-of-CSR-to-Business). CRITICAL REVIEW OF (CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY: Inherently, above discourse explicit that mainstream of CSR does concerns with social, legal, and economical expectations of stakeholders. Therefore, CSR is flagrantly accountable for capitalist apparatus that business solely considers their own private benefits of raising their shareholders profit. For instance, on the one hand, Coca Cola company do informs African nations of HIV in order to vest a vast reputation to its company, qua profit is considered as core objective of business. On the other hand, it is a shame that they do not implement a program for telling the world regarding tooth decay as such program would affect their brand name reputation. Subsequently, in a survey of 1100 chief executives, 62% of those chief executives have underpinned the CSR concept as vital for profitability. Relatively, CSR has a risk of compelling chief executives to be sociopolitical players. As the government shrinks and loses its power, the business chief executives remains with huge power in which the businesses might acquit the power for their self-regulation profitability of the business. Companies, such as, Glencore company, whose enjoying an immense portion of political power in some Africaââ¬â¢s nation, is conducting the child labor extra-legal function for the purpose of cost reduction. Relatively, CSR has been criticized by excluding the local communities from policy-making decisions while working on Corporate Social Responsibility strategy. Moreover, many contradictions exists in CSR approach, such as lack of financial incentives, lack of legal literacy, etc. those disincentives the poorer group to use laws for their protection of their civil rights. CSR is also criticized in some arenas as the source of gaining access to the market while using it as a factor of price. Furthermore, some industries conducts the CSR program for not considering the governmentââ¬â¢s strong laws and regulations, as far as their CSR project implementation are concerned with profit maximization. Therefore, mentioned CSR project implementation may lead the NGOââ¬â¢S for protesting and boycotting in which firms may endure a huge expenditure on such projects. However, CSR approach compels companies who cannot cover their costs, to impose high prices to the society while catering their products with high prices. In a sequence, critiques have been arisen against CSR policy of companies for its none existence of accountability and corporate accountability, where lack of transparency, a sophisticated analysis of the political economic dimensions of corporate power and immense inequities of power exists (Ray Broomhill, corporate social responsibility: key issues and debates, 2007). To sum up, according to Rhys Jenkins (2005) the UK political economist, many CSR projects of high profiled companies has ample the scope of tax avoidance, transfer pricing and the misusing of market power which contradicts to the legitimacy of CSR. Relatively, some reforms of corporate policies has been exploited by the act of CSR in which consequently brought vast disparities to the society such as destructing the labor conditions associated with outsourcing and labor market liberalization, increases in the level of pollution, and the promotion of macro economic policies through the acquitting of corporate lobbying which has a negative impact on society andà environment (Ray Broomhill, corporate social responsibility: key issues and debates, 2007). However, the program implement pumping and hand pump repairing, mobile repairing, computer hardware repairing, vehicle motor driving, and etc. courses. (http://www.ril.com/html/aboutus/social_resp_comm_dev.html). 6. Explicitly the company enforced the formers for the usage of advanced techniques (plastic) as it increases the productivity, contributes to the reduction of losses and in enhancement of earnings and distributed promotional materials (http://www.ril.com/html/aboutus/social_resp_comm_dev.html). RELIANCE INDUSTRIES CSR CONTRIBUTION TO ITS STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT): In a current competitive global environment, corporations does exist vastly where social responsibilities are concerned (Halme, Roome, Dobers, 2009). Therefore, to make more flagrant the contribution of corporate social responsibility with corporate strategy, it is essential to explicit what is corporate or strategic management? And what is mean by social responsibility? Essentially, strategic managements core objective is to accomplish goals through standard decision-making that concerns with determining objectives, policies and plans (Andrew, 1987). According to Andrews (1987), strategies main observations are regarding the implementation of companies and businesses goals, their economic and non-economic corporations and nature, and the relationship between the stakeholders, he furthermore stated that corporate strategies are a complex concept as the top managements decisions reflects an impact to the stakeholders who are independent with the company. However, undoubtedly the strategic management decisions covers both the social as well as economic aspects. According to Porter and Kramer (2006), there is a strong correlation between corporation and society. This is due to the fact of direct influence of companyââ¬â¢s activities to the communities of their work and the strategic management department executives should have strictly consider the societyââ¬â¢s needs and decisions with accordance to theirà expectations. Hence, Reliance Company has processed various CSR activities in order to make ease to their decision-making trends towards policies and plans in order to accomplish the organizationââ¬â¢s goal. For instance, the Reliance Limited Industries is conducting educational programs, health care services, agricultural development services to give a boost to their status of their company as wells as implement environmental initiatives community program while procuring a clean environment to their working community for the purpose of being safe to provision an ease way for acquitting policies and plans. As a result, the strategic management executives undertake the corporate social responsibilities as an intrinsic factor for the purpose of catering sustainable profits to the stakeholders (BAR, Curitiba, v. 7, n. 3, art. 5, pp. 294-309, July/Sept. 2010). Conclusion: To sum up, virtually the corporate social responsibility concept considers the ethical, social, and environmental aspects of the stakeholders. Relatively, the organizations exploit the corporate social responsibility as maximizing their shareholders profit through satisfying the stakeholders mentioned expectations. Many organizations make the CSR approach as their mainstream trend and apparatus for gaining reputation and catering a better working environment for their employers in order to enhance the quality status of their organization as well as acquitting the organizations prime goal. For instance, Reliance Industries Limited process the environment initiatives, education programs, health care programs, rural development program, etc. at their own working community for enhancing the quality life of the companyââ¬â¢s employees and maximizing the shareholders profit. Although, CSR approach owes indispensible positive impacts to the society, the concept has extralegal and negative disparity to the community. As far as the core objective of the organization concerns with maximizing their profits, organizations misuse the CSR approach for their own private interest in terms of power (in case government shrinks the company remains with mass power), cost (in order to recover the CSR projects cost the company rises the their products cost for the consumers), accountability, and etc. Lastly, CSR concept can be observed as the utility apparatus for the stakeholders, owing negative impacts with it. RECOMMENDATION: Since many companies are interlinked with extralegal activities while implementing the CSR activities due to owing immense power after the government in some Asian and African countries and goes to disparity of their trends and code of ethics such as exploiting the child labor method, they are recommended to follow the code of ethics they have established as it might affect to the quality and status of the organization through the media revealer. Furthermore, companies are required to motivate their CSR projects employees via catering training facilities, bonuses, developed salary system in order to enhance their productivity, thus, to reduce their total cost of the CSR project as higher cost for CSR project remains the company with higher prices of the products to the customers. Therefore customer tends to change their preferences to other market. REFERENCES: Benn, Suzanne and Bolton, Dianne (Key concepts in corporate social responsibility, 2011).
